Overview
A function or event is a celebration that is pre-arranged for a certain number of people. It can take place in any surrounding: private home, public garden, function centre, hotel, restaurant, local hall or grand ballroom.
The style and type of function can vary from a simple afternoon tea to a gala ball for 1000 people. The choice ultimately depends on the client and their preferences, the type of food and beverage, the particular occasion and the amount of money they will spend.
Preparation is the key to any successful event. Functions are no exception. Functions will run ‘like clockwork’ if they are well planned and organised before the event even starts. To be a success, nothing can be left to chance.
